Timekeepers provide valuable support to their office by helping to ensure compliance with laws and policy. They provide assistance to employees and managers in the areas of time reporting and leave balances.
Timekeeper Responsibilities:
- Ensure hourly staff timesheets are submitted and approved in accordance with the Payroll Schedule
- Ensure salaried staff timesheets are submitted and approved within 6 weeks
- Submit monthly reports to the Department Head consisting of timesheet actions that are older than 6 weeks
- Train new employees on time reporting requirements and how to submit leave requests
- Assist employees and managers with time reporting and leave balance inquiries
- Notify OTI of situations involving any sort of extended leave
