Timekeepers play a vital role in supporting their departments by ensuring compliance with timekeeping laws and policies. They assist both employees and managers with time reporting and leave tracking.

Timekeepers Help With:

  • Ensuring hourly staff submit and approve timesheets on time per the Payroll Schedule
  • Ensuring salaried staff timesheets are submitted and approved within 6 weeks
  • Sending monthly reports to the Department Head for any timesheet actions older than 6 weeks
  • Training new employees on how to report time and request leave
  • Helping employees and managers with questions about time reporting and leave balances
  • Notifying OTI about any extended leave situations
