Stand with Law Enforcement

Texas Governor Greg Abbott called for police officers across the state of Texas to honor the funeral of slain Harris County Deputy Sheriff Darren Goforth on Friday, September 4, 2015. http://gov.texas.gov/news/press-release/21368

University of Texas System police officers gathered with other state law enforcement at several locations to turn on emergency lights for one minute to mark the beginning of the deputy's funeral being held in Houston.

Office of the Director of Police vehicles participated in a gathering at the State Capitol.

At the UT MD Anderson Medical Center Smithville campus, trees and light poles all over campus were decorated with blue ribbons in support of law enforcement
