I was born in Corpus Christi, Texas. At a young age, my parents moved, and I was raised in San Antonio, Texas. After attending various schools in the San Antonio area, I attended James Madison High School and graduated in 1999. Shortly after graduating high school, I enlisted in the United States Navy in October of 1999.

Upon enlisting in the US Navy, I was stationed at the United States Navy Recruit Training Center (Basic Training/Boot Camp) in Great Lakes, Illinois. After graduating basic training, I was assigned to US Naval Training Center Great Lakes in order to complete Navy "A" school for hospital man or Corpsman (EMT) training. Upon completing Corpsman school in the summer of 2000, I received orders to be stationed at US Naval Hospital Okinawa, Japan, at Camp Lester. I was stationed at Naval hospital Okinawa during September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center.

After my two-year assignment on Okinawa, I received orders to attend Fleet Marine Force Field Medical School on Camp Geiger in Jacksonville, North Carolina. After completing Field Medical School, I was stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina (Home of the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Forces). My specific posting was in the 2nd Fleet Service Support Group (2nd FSSG) Medical Logistics company. During my time in the Navy, I was awarded various medals such as the Navy Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Medal, and Meritorious Unit Commendation.

In August 2004, I decided to leave the US Navy upon my enlistment ending to attend college fulltime at the University of Houston. After several years of attending University of Houston, I returned home to San Antonio to be closer to family. Upon moving back to San Antonio, I applied and was hired to work as Public Safety Officer for the University of Texas at San Antonio. After 4 years as a public safety officer, I applied and was accepted as police cadet for UTSA. In the spring of 2016, I attended the University of Texas System police academy and graduated in July 2016. Since graduating the police academy and returning to UTSA, I have mainly worked 3rd shift as a patrol officer.

When not on duty, I enjoy mostly outdoor activities such as fishing, skiing, hiking, and etc. I also enjoy watching and following international soccer, since I played it as a kid (only sport I was ever good at). I also spend my free time with family, friends, and attending various music venues or concerts.
