Mini-Conferences
The UT System Academy of Distinguished Teachers, in collaboration with UT System Faculty Developers, hosted a series of presentations and conversations about the relationships between teaching, learning, and wellbeing. Faculty experts from the UT System offered a unique agenda encouraging instructors and graduate students to reflect on our experiences and innovatively plan for what comes next for our colleagues, our students, and our programs. Topics included strategies for teaching and assessing wellbeing, the healing impact of learning, cultivating bursts of joy by creating dynamic connections with students, and supporting fixed-term contact or nontenure-system faculty. Participants both generated implementation plans and reflected on their implementation of ideas for teaching as wellbeing.
