The Little Orange Book: Short Lessons in Excellent Teaching
First published in April 2015, The Little Orange Book was written by members of The University of Texas System Academy of Distinguished Teachers, the only systemwide academy of teaching excellence in America. Each short chapter offers practical teaching tips and thoughtful reflections on classroom teaching.
In 2019, the Academy released a digital version of The Little Orange Book, making its insights more widely available to instructors across the UT System. Download The Little Orange Book from the Apple Bookstore.
The Academy followed in 2020 with The Little Orange Book II: Student Voices on Excellent Teaching, which draws on the experiences and insights of UT students to help faculty consider teaching and learning from the student point of view. The Little Orange Book II is available in print through UT Press and is now also available digitally through the Apple Bookstore.
