Faraz Khan is the interim Associate Vice Chancellor & Controller for The University of Texas System. She has System-wide responsibility for the oversight of accounting activities and financial reporting for the institutions under UT System.  In addition, Faraz manages all shared services functions such as payroll, accounts payable, and aircraft services.

Faraz came to the UT System from Denver Health where she served as the Chief Financial Officer for the integrated healthcare system. Previously, she served as Chief Accounting Officer for UCSF Health in San Francisco. Earlier, Faraz served as Vice President of Finance for Ascension Seton Healthcare Family in Central Texas and Chief Financial Officer of Seton Health Plan and Accountable Care Organization.

Faraz has been a Texas Health & Human Services Commission appointee to the Hospital Payment Advisory Committee, has served on the State of Texas Tobacco Settlement Advisory Committee, and is a past member of the Supervisory Committee of the Board of Directors of University Federal Credit Union.

She is a Certified Public Accountant and holds an MBA from W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.
