The College of Health Affairs at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) is proud to offer their online Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree completion program.

The program is designed to provide an affordable pathway for Registered Nurses (RN) to complete a BSN education in a convenient, accelerated, online format. Students will learn leadership theories, organizational structures, and healthcare management while advancing professional skills and preparing for graduate study.

Degree Requirements

The Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN to BSN) Online degree requires completion of the Nursing (RN) Core (27 credits*)

*Many online Core Curriculum courses are open to cross-campus enrollment. Check with your program advisor prior to registering for any of cross-campus courses to ensure they apply toward your degree program.

To view program courses currently open for cross-campus enrollment, go to the Student Portal Course Schedule and select RN to BSN from the Finish@UT Program menu, or search for a specific course name/number. Always check with your academic advisor prior to registering for any these courses to ensure they apply toward your degree program. UTRGV students should refer to the UTRGV Course Schedule and register directly through your home campus.

How much will it cost?

Students are billed by UTRGV for courses. Links to estimated tuition and fees and campus tuition and fee information can be found on the RN to BSN Online Tuition & Financial Aid.

Are campus visits required?

The courses are offered online. If a course requires field-based experience/practicum it is noted in the course description.
