Compensation

UT System Administration is committed to offering competitive salaries to attract, develop, motivate and retain highly qualified employees.  Compensation is determined based on internal salary relationships and external market factors within department and UT System Administration performance goals.

Longevity pay is provided to eligible employees who have completed two years of state service. Only full-time employees (40 hours per week) of the UT System (not contractors) who are scheduled to work for at least 4.5 continuous months (135 calendar days) and who are in a paid status on the first of the month are eligible. Pay is provided beginning on the first day of the month after 24 months as a state employee.
