Jennifer Burnett

Assistant General Counsel, Public Information Coordinator

Jennifer Burnett is an Assistant General Counsel and Public Information Coordinator, in the General Law Section of the Office of General Counsel. She specializes in the Texas Public Information Act, student discipline and mental health matters, Title IX, and torts.

Ms. Burnett received her BA in Psychology from New York University and her JD from The University of Texas School of Law. Following law school, Ms. Burnett served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Open Records Division of the Office of the Attorney General. Prior to joining the Office of General Counsel, she was Senior Policy Counsel for a nonprofit law firm in D.C.
