The FY 2027 Holiday Schedule is now available. State agencies may observe up to 14 holidays in fiscal year 2027, based on national and state holidays outlined in the Texas Government Code (Section 662.003).
Please note:
- Holidays that fall on a weekend are not counted.
- When more than one holiday falls on the same day, only one holiday is observed.
The FY 2027 schedule also includes a floating holiday. Details on how floating holidays work are available on the Holiday Schedule page.
Holiday leave eligibility: Employees are eligible for holiday leave if they are scheduled to work at least 20 hours per week for 4.5 continuous months.
