Whether a gift officer talking with donors on ways in which to structure a gift or an advancement services professional responsible for annual reporting, endowment compliance is an area in which all development team members play a role. In this session, we will look at endowment compliance from two perspectives – the macro and the micro.

The macro view will delve into the UT System Endowment Compliance Program, reporting requirements, areas assessed, standards and best practices. Attention to the micro side will include best practices for scholarship restrictions and preferences, drafting endowment agreements, the process for endowment amendments, and a deep dive into the endowment agreement template.
