Seeing official events through from conception to execution is Christina Teczar’s principal responsibility as director of events for the Office of External Affairs, Communications and Advancement Services. She also creates and manages events for the Chancellor and the Board of Regents. Ms. Teczar oversees and coordinates every aspect of official System events from venue selection, catering, entertainment, lodging and other related logistics.
Until she joined the Office of External Affairs, Communications and Advancement Services, Ms. Teczar was director of the office of scheduling and advance for the U.S. Department of the Interior in Washington, D.C. In 2004, Ms. Teczar worked for the U.S. Department of Defense in Baghdad, Iraq, in the office of strategic communications. While serving as a civilian during the liberation of Iraq, she received the Joint Civilian Service Achievement Award for exceptional meritorious service.
Ms. Teczar received a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Texas at Arlington.
With a strong foundation in the hospitality industry, Caitlin specializes in organizing seamless, high-impact events with a particular focus on client success, logistics, and large-scale corporate gatherings. Over the years, Caitlin has produced hundreds of meetings, conferences, and social events.
Prior to joining the Office of External Relations, Communications, and Advancement Services, Caitlin worked in the hotel industry as a Convention Services Manager for Omni Hotels and Resorts and Marriott International where she honed her skills of working closely with key stakeholders to bring their visions to life and overseeing every detail from inception to execution. Caitlin has also spent time working on events and exhibition design for auction houses and art museums such as the Philadelphia Museum of Art and The Barnes Foundation.
Caitlin received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Texas and a Master of Science degree from Drexel University.
