Seeing official events through from conception to execution is Christina Teczar’s principal responsibility as director of events for the Office of External Relations, Communications and Advancement Services. She also creates and manages events for the Chancellor and the Board of Regents. Ms. Teczar oversees and coordinates every aspect of official System events from venue selection, catering, entertainment, lodging and other related logistics.

Until she joined the Office of External Relations, Communications and Advancement Services, Ms. Teczar was director of the office of scheduling and advance for the U.S. Department of the Interior in Washington, D.C. In 2004, Ms. Teczar worked for the U.S. Department of Defense in Baghdad, Iraq, in the office of strategic communications. While serving as a civilian during the liberation of Iraq, she received the Joint Civilian Service Achievement Award for exceptional meritorious service.

Ms. Teczar received a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Texas at Arlington.
