Notice to UT SELECT and UT CARE Members
Conduent Business Services, LLC (“Conduent”) is a third-party vendor that provides services such as printing, mail handling, document processing, and other back-office support to companies such as Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, the current health plan administrator for the UT SELECT and UT CARE health plans.
Conduent experienced a cyber security incident earlier this year and is providing notification via postal mail to individuals who were impacted by the incident, including current and former members of UT SELECT and UT CARE.
IMPORTANT - No University of Texas data or technology systems were impacted or breached as a result of this external incident.
Conduent’s letter includes information about the incident, the actions taken to secure their systems, and free identity monitoring services, which they are offering as a precaution to all affected individuals. If you receive a letter, please read it carefully. In addition to details about the free identity monitoring service being offered, there are details about other potential actions you may choose to take to protect yourself. If you choose to enroll in the free identity monitoring service, please be sure to do so before the specific expiration date noted in your letter.
