The OCBS operates UT System’s GPO Accreditation Program.
In October 2020, the OCBS announced to existing accredited entities that:
- All existing accreditations were renewed automatically through August 31, 2026 – without requiring any new application. As always, accreditations are subject to earlier termination as provided for in the Operating Procedures linked below.
- UT System will continue soliciting new applications on an annual basis, but in general, for organizations already accredited, we’ll conduct our formal compliance reviews only every other year, rather than annually. One exception: newly accredited organizations will receive a formal review in the first year following their accreditation.
- UT System will narrow its requests for data from organizations previously accredited, when conducting formal compliance reviews.
- Finally, UT System is lowering to a flat $4 million the annual UT spend threshold that an organization must meet, in order to satisfy the quantitative value component of the accreditation standards. The bottom line is that we’re making it easier for organizations previously accredited to satisfy our Program’s value component test.
