Dr. Ching-Wei Tzeng is an Associate Professor of Surgical Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center, specializing in the multidisciplinary management of hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) cancers and serving as the HPB Fellowship Program Director. His clinical research interests focus on optimizing surgical outcomes to improve oncologic outcomes and quality of life. His current quality improvement efforts are focused on patient-centered perioperative opioid reduction protocols. His translational research projects include early detection and biomarker-driven screening and surveillance strategies. He has received research awards from the SSO, AHPBA, SSAT, and Pancreas Club. Dr. Tzeng is an educator dedicated to the training of fellows and residents and has been recognized with multiple teaching awards.
