Ms. Gina L. Amatangelo, M.P.A.

Gina Amatangelo is an Assistant Professor of Practice in Public Administration at The University of Texas at San Antonio. She has experience leading policy and strategic work at the federal, state and local level. Prior to joining the faculty at UTSA, she founded Common Ground Strategy and facilitated planning for a number of citywide collaborative projects on student success. She began her career working as an advocate on international human rights issues in Washington, DC and later served as Chief of Staff to a member of the Texas House of Representatives. Gina holds a Master of Public Affairs from The University of Texas at Austin, a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Penn State University and is trained as a mediator and facilitator.
