Phileo (love): If I don’t love my students and the prospect of their learning all that I intend to teach them, they will notice and not fully invest in my course. Because I care for them, I expect them to work diligently and to grow in their love for knowledge and learning. Sophia (wisdom): Wisdom is a deeper sense of knowing or understanding in such a way that you know what to do with the knowledge that you have. I want my students to say with confidence that what they have learned is truth and is now useful to them because they clearly see it for themselves.
