Every time I walk into a classroom or meet with students outside of the classroom I feel like the future is before me, that I am standing on the shoulders of giants-to-be. I teach students who aspire to be engineers and who will ultimately shape the physical fabric of society, and protect human lives and the environment. My teaching philosophy is rooted in a strong desire to empower students by providing them with fundamental tools that enable exploration, creativity, and excitement about their discipline. I care for every student I teach, and when students realize this it makes it easier for me to provide them with these tools, to instill confidence in them, to inspire them to think beyond the ordinary and solve what may seem unsolvable, to become giants.
