I don't ever want to get too old to consider new ideas.
It is assumed that scholarly activities begin with research, moves to dissemination, followed by practical application, and then, finally, education. However, Boyer contends: "The arrow of causality can, and frequently does, point in both directions." Knowledge is not developed in a linear fashion. The circular nature of teaching, research, and practice is the foundation of my philosophy. Research directs my teaching, which directs my practice, which directs my research.
