I believe that teaching is both a privilege and an obligation. As a professor, I am in a position to assist students in navigating through the depths of knowledge as effectively and as efficiently as possible and very importantly, igniting in them a desire to learn even more through their life. I feel that I should not only present information, but also challenge and inspire students to make "connections" and to integrate and apply what they learn into a bigger picture.
