I firmly believe that if a concept, no matter how complex, is explained in a way that students can deeply understand, then motivation to learn and a sense of excitement and appreciation will automatically follow. A fundamental responsibility of a teacher is to develop this ability. As an engineering professor, empowering students with the knowledge necessary to solve real-world problems using computer systems is one of my most important career objectives.
