My goal as an educator is to nurture learning as a transformative experience, both for my students and for me. What my students perceive as obstacles to learning I hope to transform into opportunities to learn through engagement in well-designed and purposeful mathematical inquiry. I am passionate about ensuring that my students feel empowered by a subject they finally understand and can apply to real-world problems and situations. I know I have reached my goal when my students develop both the self-confidence to teach and the belief that they can empower their future students.
