Fostering access and excellence means walking the walk, not simply "talking the talk." If I would like them to be organized and well-prepared, to be respectful to their future students, I must model what that will look like in the classroom. If I want them to be fair and accurate assessors of student learning, I must show them just how I accomplish that with their assignments. If I would like them to use up-to-date methods of instruction and technology, I must also use these skillfully.
