What inspired you to join the team?
I joined UT HIP as a Graduate Research Assistant while pursuing dual Masters’ degrees in Biomedical Informatics and Public Health. I was especially drawn to its Quality Collaborative initiatives as they leverage data analytics and visualization to identify opportunities for improvement. The program’s unique, statewide collaboration across diverse UT institutions was especially inspiring. Through this work, I was able to combine my training with real-world impact, using data-driven storytelling, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and creating visualizations that drive meaningful change. That experience was incredibly rewarding, and when the opportunity arose to continue this work full-time, I was excited to stay and grow with the team.
I am a Clinical Informaticist and part of the UT-HIP Quality Team. I focus on facilitating and driving action across our Quality Collaboratives.
I engage key stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to translate data into action. I work with the Quality Team to leverage analytics, healthcare trends, literature, and participant feedback to help identify priorities, guide discussions, and drive improvement efforts.
I play a key role in facilitating communication, strengthening relationships, and engaging stakeholders across the UT System. Through data visualization and visual storytelling (e.g., dashboards, infographics, workflows), I aim to make insights accessible and engaging.
At the operational level, I help align and sustain day to day collaborative work—ensuring continuity, maintaining momentum, and preventing key priorities from falling off track.
