Important Details for the Transition to Maestro, Effective 9/1/2016

File all your claims now, if possible. Do not wait until the November 30 claims filing deadline to submit your Health Care and/or Dependent Care claims. We urge you to start filling your claims now. This will help ensure that your claims are settled as accurately and efficiently as possible before the transition on 9/1/16.

If it is not possible to file your claims before 9/1/16, rest assured that Maestro Health will continue to process claims for the prior plan year through November 30 if you have a prior year balance.

IMPORTANT: Claims filed before and by 8/31/16 should continue to go to PayFlex. Claims filed as of 9/1/16 and after should go to Maestro Health.

Use only your Maestro UT FLEX Card beginning 9/1/2016. All UT FLEX Health Care Reimbursement Account (HCRA) participants who enrolled for the 2016-2017 plan year will receive a new Maestro Debit Card in late August. Contact your home institution now to confirm that your most up-to-date address is on file.

Your Maestro UT FLEX Card will be loaded with your new plan year elections and ready to use as of 9/1/16. Your prior year end balances from plan year 2015-2016 will be transferred and loaded after 9/10/2016.

Your PayFlex UT FLEX Card will no longer be active as of 8/31/16. There is no UT FLEX card for the Dependent Care Reimbursement Account (DCRA).

Sign up for the Maestro Mobile App beginning 8/15/16. The mobile app is intended to make your FSA experience easy. Enroll in the Maestro mobile app on or after August 15. You can find more information on the Maestro web site, www.myutflex.com

Enroll in Direct Deposit with Maestro Health beginning 8/15/16. Direct Deposit will ensure that you receive your reimbursements quickly. You can enroll by visiting the Maestro Health website or by using their mobile app.

Collect new letters of medical necessity for items and services as needed. Some examples of items that require letters of medical necessity would include vitamins, calcium, certain dermatological creams, etc. Letters can be submitted to Maestro beginning on 9/1/2016.

Be sure to verify your election type(s) and amount(s). Once you made your FLEX elections, you should have received a Confirmation Statement displaying your changes. In compliance with the IRS Code, corrections due to programmatic and/or administrative errors will not be allowed after 31 days following receipt of your first paycheck that reflects your Annual Enrollment elections. You must contact your local HR/Benefits office as soon as possible if you see something amiss on your Confirmation Statement.

You can review reminders about the transition to Maestro on their handy flyer or on their web site, www.myutflex.com. If you have additional questions or need assistance, please contact Maestro Health, your local UT institution's HR or Benefits Office or the UT System Office of Employee Benefits (OEB).
