UT SELECT and UT CONNECT Benefit Enhancement: Applied Behavior Analysis

Effective September 1, 2018, the benefit for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy has been changed to remove the “$36,000 annual benefit maximum” and “up to age 19” limit. All other requirements for ABA continue to apply including advanced approval (preauthorization) by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) to establish medical necessity for the treatment.
