The University of Texas System commemorates the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

We commemorate the life and contributions of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who dedicated himself to the struggle for equality, justice, and opportunity for all Americans.

Dr. King’s words and deeds continue to inspire us, a half century after his death.  But equally important, his teachings provide a sobering reminder of the distance between the values we share as Americans and the day-to-day reality for too many of our neighbors.

Chancellor Milliken begins implementation of Board of Regents’ Task Force Report on System Administration

Following an organizational assessment of The University of Texas System Administration led by a task force of four regents, Chancellor James B. Milliken has begun implementation of the task force recommendations.

UT institutions produce more than 20,000 new graduates at fall commencements

The University of Texas System’s eight academic institutions recently held commencement ceremonies, celebrating more than 22,000 new graduates who successfully completed their college careers in December.

Eltife elected chairman of The University of Texas System Board of Regents

Regent Kevin P. Eltife, appointed in 2017 by Governor Greg Abbott to a six-year term on The University of Texas System Board of Regents, was unanimously elected chairman of the board at a special called meeting Thursday.

In a Bloomberg Businessweek global ranking of business schools based on student, alumni and recruiter surveys, the McCombs School of Business at UT Austin was No. 1 in Texas, No. 6 among all public institutions in the nation and No. 23 among all institutions in the world.
