The Office of Academic Affairs promotes faculty engagement and success including supporting system-level advisory and advocacy faculty groups like the Faculty Advisory Council and the UT System Academy of Distinguished Teachers, as well as the coordination of the UT System Regents' Outstanding Teaching Awards.
UT System Faculty Advisory Council
The University of Texas System Faculty Advisory Council (UTSFAC or FAC) is an advisory group selected from faculty of UT System institutions. FAC works with and on behalf of the UT System, with a primary mission of communicating ideas and information between faculty and UT System Executive Officers and Board of Regents.
The UT System Academy of Distinguished Teachers
This System-level advocacy group is dedicated to improving teaching across the UT System.
The UT System Regents’ Outstanding Teaching Awards
This award recognizes faculty that deliver the highest quality of undergraduate instruction through demonstrated excellence in teaching.
