The UT Center at Laredo partners with UT Health San Antonio’s Glenn Biggs Institute for Alzheimer’s & Neurodegenerative Diseases to provide the only dementia-care-specific clinic in Laredo and the South Texas region located right here on the UT Center at Laredo campus. The Biggs Institute is a nationally designated center of excellence for dementia care and research and the only one in Texas recognized as a National Institute on Aging (NIA) designated Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. At the UT Center at Laredo, our dementia care clinic is staffed by two prominent UT Health San Antonio physicians and a nurse practitioner.
