UT System and TACC honor outstanding community college students at 2024 All-Texas Academic Team Medallion Ceremony

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – Texas’ top community college students today were honored at the 2024 All-Texas Academic Team Medallion Ceremony, hosted by The University of Texas System and the Texas Association of Community Colleges (TACC) at UT San Antonio.

The event, which featured a keynote address from Elizabeth Mayer, assistant commissioner of academic and health affairs at the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, recognized a total of 181 students from 49 Texas community colleges for outstanding achievement. Milliken this week participated in the ASU+GSV Summit where he joined Coursera CEO Jeff Maggioncalda in a panel moderated by Arizona State University Special Advisor Jeff Selingo about the successes and future potential of credentialing in higher education. The panel was titled: “Texas Tea: Transforming Higher Ed with Workforce Microcredentials.

UT System Institutions Earn Top Accolades in U.S. News Graduate School Rankings

AUSTIN, TEXAS – The University of Texas System institutions earned several top rankings in U.S. News and World Report’s most recent partial rankings of “Best Graduate Schools” in the U.S. According to U.S. News, the rankings for engineering, medicine and psychology will be released at a later date.

TRC4 Awards $18 Million in Grants for Trauma Care Research

The Trauma Research and Combat Casualty Care Collaborative (TRC4), an initiative of The University of Texas System (UT System), today announced grant awards totaling $18,037,863. These grants will fund groundbreaking trauma research, product development, and preventative measures across UT institutions.
