Appointment of Brenda Pejovich to the UT System Board of Regents

AUSTIN – Colleen McHugh, chairman of The University of Texas System Board of Regents, issued the following statement today (July 2) regarding the appointment of Brenda Pejovich of Dallas to the UT System Board of Regents. The appointment was announced earlier today by Texas Governor Rick Perry.

Statement from Chairman McHugh:

“The Board of Regents looks forward to working with Brenda Pejovich on matters of importance to the UT System and its mission to advance excellence in education, health care, research and service. Ms. Pejovich’s tenure on the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and her professional experience will suit her well as we work together to further the goals of The University of Texas System,” Regents' Chairman Colleen McHugh said.

“At the same time, this Board offers high praise and a large debt of gratitude to James Huffines for his extraordinary leadership and service. The UT System has been very fortunate to have former Chairman Huffines continue into a second appointed term. His service to the UT System and the state of Texas is immeasurable and his contributions have made an indelible impact."
