UT Pan American named "College of the Year" by National Hispanic Institute

The National Hispanic Institute (NHI) has named The University of Texas-Pan American "College of the Year" for its continued commitment to serve as the practice and training base for the NHI of the Rio Grande Valley and its continued support to make its campus available to NHI students and families.

During the NHI’s annual showcase event in San Antonio, Oct. 31- Nov. 3, the organization will recognize the amazing efforts and support of UT Pan American, along with other key institutions of higher learning.

"For years, the deeply caring staff and and faculty have dedicated themselves to serving the Rio Grande Valley and the people of the Valley. This award demonstrates the wonderful accomplishments of those dedicated individuals. Pan Am is getting it 'right' in the Valley, in Texas and in the nation," said UT Pan American President Robert Nelsen, Ph.D.
