UT System Chancellor To Deliver Update on Implementation of Framework Action Plan

AUSTIN – University of Texas System Chancellor Francisco C. Cigarroa, M.D., will deliver an update on Thursday, Aug. 23, regarding the implementation of action plan of The Framework for Advancing Excellence Throughout The University of Texas System.

His presentation at a meeting of the UT System Board of Regents in Austin will begin at approximately 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.

Out-of-town reporters may view the presentation via a live webcast.

Chancellor Cigarroa’s Framework action plan was presented to the Board last August.  The action plan recommends nine overarching goals that will have a significant impact on advancing UT institutions to even higher levels of excellence.  The Framework addresses a variety of topics, including improving four-year graduation rates, utilizing our facilities better to ensure the highest degree of efficiencies, and even re-thinking how we can combine baccalaureate to doctor of medicine degrees while enhancing quality along the way.
