AUSTIN – The Board of Regents of The University of Texas System will hold a special called meeting by telephone on Thursday, May 24, in Austin. The meeting will be held on the ninth floor of Ashbel Smith Hall, 201 W. 7th Street.

The Board will convene in open session at approximately 10:00 a.m.; agenda items include:

• Authorization for UT Arlington to accept an invitation from Sun Belt Conference and to negotiate and finalize terms for athletic conference membership
• Approval for an extension of Cotton Bowl Stadium agreement for the annual UT Austin v. University of Oklahoma football game
• Approval for UT Dallas to offer previously approved doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering as a joint degree with UT Arlington

Parking for the news media will be available at the guard kiosk on Colorado Street between 7th and 6th Streets.
