Media availability on Los Alamos scheduled via telephone after the meeting

The meeting of the University of Texas System Board of Regents on Wednesday morning (Feb. 4) in Brownsville may be viewed by reporters v ia a live webcast at http://streaming.utb.edu. This stream will be encoded for RealMedia (free RealOne player available at http://www.Real.com). Because of technical limitations, we ask that only the news media use this link to view the webcast.

The meeting begins at 8 a.m. A presentation on the possibility of bidding on the management contract for Los Alamos National Laboratory will be at approximately 10 a.m.

After the meeting, UT System officials will be available to answer questions from the news media about the Los Alamos issue by telephone conference call. This media availability will begin at Noon CST in the Student Union, 80 Fort Brown, on the campus of the University of Texas at Brownsville.

Out-of-town reporters may participate in the media availability via an AT&T conference call. Reporters should contact Paula Bales at (512) 499-4363 by 11:00 a.m. CST on Wednesday to receive the toll-free telephone number and access code. Then reporters should dial in to the conference call by 11:55 a.m. We don't want to start without you.
