Dr. Ricardo RomoDr. Ricardo Romo was named president of UT San Antonio on February 10, 1999. Previously, he served as vice provost for undergraduate education at UT Austin since 1993. A historian who has written extensively on the history of Mexican-Americans and in the field of Chicano studies, Romo holds a Ph.D. from UCLA, a master’s degree from Loyola University in Los Angeles, and a bachelor’s degree from UT Austin.
