Chuck and Nancy Davidson

In the School of Management at UT Dallas, they met and fell in love – with each other and with the school. Like their marriage, their support for the university and UT System has been a partnership.

Giving Back to Students Just Like Them

The University of Texas at Dallas holds a special place in the hearts of Charles and Nancy Davidson. In addition to each of them receiving an exceptional education, the couple met when both were in the School of Management. Nancy earned her BS in business and administrative services in 1980, the same year Chuck graduated with a master’s in management and administrative services. They married a year later and have teamed up ever since to support their alma mater — the School of Management’s auditorium and no less than four professorships currently bear the couple’s name.

"I could not have moved to the level I’m at without UT Dallas," says Chuck. "The things I learned were critical to understanding business and making better strategic decisions."

Through their generosity to UT Dallas, the Davidsons became members of the Chancellor’s Council in 2001. In 2007, Chuck began serving on the Chancellor’s Council Executive Committee and together, he and Nancy help The University of Texas System better serve our students and our state.

"I think all alumni need to reflect and make an honest appraisal of the impact their college experience has had on the rest of their lives," says Nancy.

Chuck is quick to agree. "Without the help of alumni, Nancy and I would not have encountered the quality of education we received at UT Dallas," says Chuck. "We want to help new generations of students benefit from their college experience as much as we did."
