In addition to opportunities to attend special events, there are a number of ways to get involved in and support the activities and initiatives that further our mission of excellence in education, research and patient care.
Chancellor Cigarroa is leading dynamic programs that advance the System's mission and add value to the campuses. As a Chancellor's Council member, you become part of the core group of individuals who support UT System leadership. Your efforts and commitment help sustain programs such as the Chancellor's Teaching Awards and the Chancellor's Entrepreneurship and Innovation Awards.

Periodically, you will receive communications from the Chancellor that will provide you with insights and updates on UT System news, events, and special initiatives. We encourage you to pass these on! We know that you are our biggest advocates for the great work happening on the campuses. We want you to share both your knowledge and enthusiasm for this important work with others who may be interested.
Take Your Support to the Next Level
You are invited to join the prestigious 1881 Society by contributing annually to the UT System's strategic fund supporting the Chancellor as he oversees the critical programs and initiatives that will ensure the continued expansion of excellence at the 15 institutions.
Members who create a permanent endowment to support the work of the UT System become members of the Ashbel Smith Circle. Endowments generate stable funding that sustains academic excellence in essential areas.
