The Chancellor's Council Executive Committee is the core leadership group for the Chancellor. The group convenes several times annually and engages in dialogue with the Chancellor regarding special initiatives and issues of importance to higher education in Texas. Membership in the Executive Committee is by nomination.

Chancellor's Council Executive Committee Winter Meeting
January 24-25, 2013
Austin, TX
More than 200 attendees gathered 2013 for the Winter Meeting to hear from UT Austin professors – and their students – covering topics ranging from "Changing the Way the World Thinks about Energy" to "Ending Childhood Obesity." Those who attended the business meeting were introduced to some entrepreneurial UT students, received an update on the proposed new university in South Texas, and the Vice Chancellor for Governmental Relations, Barry McBee, discussed UT System priorities for the 2013 session of the Texas Legislature. |

Chancellor's Council Executive Committee Fall Meeting
September 14-15, 2012
Memphis, TN
CCEC members gathered in Memphis to cheer on the Texas Longhorns as they did battle with Ole Miss in Oxford, MS. Council Members received an updated report on the Chancellor's Framework for Advancing Excellence. The Chancellor highlighted several areas including student success and access, faculty and staff excellence, research, productivity and efficiency just to name a few. The presentation resulted in a standing ovation for the progress being made across the UT institutions.

The CCEC gathered in San Antonio to learn more about The University of Texas San Antonio campus and how it has risen to become one of Texas' emerging research institutions. From listening to faculty and staff speak about ground-breaking research to meeting players from UTSA's brand-new NCAA Division 1 football team, the Game Changers at UTSA demonstrated why their institution stands out in the classroom, in the lab and on the field. |
